ADDED VALUE FOR HOSPITALS

Get prepared for the European Health Data Space

The European Health Data Space (EHDS) is a unified digital space that aims to facilitate the safe, secure, and seamless exchange of health data across the EU. IOMED provides the platform for the Health Data Infrastructure.

Become part of our
Federated Data Network

Being part of the federated network increases your institution’s visibility to the research and Life Science ecosystem, opening new opportunities for collaboration in multi-center projects, all while maintaining governance and compliance.

Data Space Enablement

IOMED’s technology helps hospitals structure, standardize, and govern their data according to EHDS. Easily enable data interoperability, transparency, and secure data sharing, while keeping full control and traceability. Be ready to contribute to large-scale research and policy initiatives that shape the future of healthcare.

Data-driven hospital insights

Use your data not only for external research, but also for internal optimization, deeper clinical insights, and operational improvement, supporting decision-making, identifying care patterns, optimizing resource allocation, and accelerating high-impact research initiatives within your organization.

Active research,
full control

Gain full control and visibility over hospital research activity. As a data holder, you decide which projects to join, how data is used, and under what conditions, all within a secure and compliant environment. Automated workflows streamline project approvals, documentation, and ethics committee processes, reducing administrative burden and accelerating research start-up.

for whom
1
Researchers and Clinicians
Gives secure access to high-quality, structured data for observational studies, protocol design, and clinical insights generation without extra burden on clinical staff.
2
IT Department
Ensures seamless integration with the hospital’s IT ecosystem while maintaining full control over data governance and security. The use of OMOP CDM reduces long-term maintenance needs and future-proofs interoperability with other healthcare systems and partners.
3
General Management
Unlocks the value of the hospital’s data assets, positioning the institution as an innovation leader while generating new research collaborations.
4
Medical Information Department
Enables faster, evidence-based responses to medical queries by providing access to structured real-world clinical data.

Success Stories

Accelerating Rare Disease Diagnosis: A Patient Identification Project for Alport Syndrome.

Fundació Puigvert leads a multicentric study aiming to identify undiagnosed patients through AI-powered phenotyping and real-world data.
This study, led by Hospital Fundació Puigvert in collaboration with IOMED, harnessed the power of real-world data (RWD) and artificial intelligence (AI) to support earlier detection of HKDs like Alport Syndrome. By helping physicians find patients whose conditions might otherwise go unnoticed, the study opens the door to faster diagnosis and better care.

Artificial Intelligence for Identifying CAR-T Therapy Candidates Using Real-World Data

A pilot study by the spanish hematopoietic transplant and cellular therapy group (GETH-TC)
This pilot study, conducted by the Spanish Hematopoietic Transplant and Cellular Therapy Group (GETH-TC) in collaboration with IOMED, introduces an artificial intelligence (AI)-driven system using real-world data (RWD) to improve patient identification for CAR-T therapy, reducing missed candidates and accelerating treatment timelines

Optimizing Thyroid Cancer Research with Real-World Data and NLP: The NATI Study

Unlocking clinical insights through AI-powered data extraction from unstructured medical records.
The NATI study (NATural language in ThyroId cancer), aimed to provide an updated, real-world view of how thyroid cancer is diagnosed and managed in clinical practice by analyzing patient data from 4 Spanish hospitals.
