About the job
At IOMED, we are looking for a Clinical Specialist with a background in epidemiology and experience executing clinical or observational research projects to join our team. Your main mission will be to support the design and implementation of Real World Data (RWD) studies in collaboration with pharmaceutical companies, hospitals, and medical associations. You will work closely with our clients to translate clinical questions into data-driven research designs, helping ensure the feasibility, quality, and clinical relevance of their projects. Internally, you will be a key bridge between the clinical, sales, operations, and data science teams.

What we expect you to do
You will have to feel comfortable giving support to the rest of the team and you can definitely expect to:
- Provide scientific and clinical support to external stakeholders (pharma, hospitals, associations) during the design of RWD studies.
- Guide internal teams by bringing clinical and epidemiological perspective to data structuring, variable definition, and study design.
- Review medical records and structured data to ensure accuracy and clinical coherence in data pipelines.
- Contribute to internal model development by labeling data and supporting our NLP system.
- Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to translate study requirements into technical deliverables.
What we expect from you
HARD SKILLS
Degree in Medicine, Biology, or related field, with postgraduate specialization or experience in Epidemiology.
2–3 years of experience in clinical practice and/or applied epidemiological research.
Hands-on experience executing clinical, observational, or real-world data projects.
Profound understanding of clinical practice and comfort working with medical records.
Familiarity with basic statistical concepts and methods (knowledge of tools like SQL is a plus, but not required).
SOFT SKILLS
Adapting quickly to evolving healthcare scenarios, new technologies, and emerging challenges
The ability to concentrate and analyze data effectively.
Strong communication skills, including the ability to convey complex medical information clearly and concisely.
To be meticulous and thorough in data labeling, record analysis, and documentation to ensure accuracy and maintain the integrity of clinical data.
